Easy cheesy broccoli waffles

These broccoli waffles include just a few staple ingredients and are cooked and ready to eat in 5 minutes.

They have a yummy cheesy flavour and a subtle garlic hit!

This recipe makes three mini waffles. I like to make double, as I love eating them myself with a little salt, pepper, olive oil or chilli oil (yum!).

It’s also a great way to use leftover veggies (like this leftover broccoli), but feel free to add sweet potato, pumpkin, potato, carrot etc. Anything that mashes well!

These waffles are perfect for babies 6 months + (just cut into strips) and make a great toddler lunch or snack option.

Easy cheesy broccoli waffles

With a yummy cheesy flavour, these healthy broccoli waffles are a great way to get extra veggies into your little one. They make for a great baby-led weaning when cut into strips, and are a super quick and easy lunchtime option. Suitable for babies 6 months +.

  1. Create batter

    Add steamed broccoli (steaming the broccoli will be your first step, if you don't have some leftover) to a bowl with all other ingredients. Mix well to combine.

  2. Cook waffles

    Spray waffle iron with olive oil spray. Add 1/3 of the mixture to your mini waffle iron. About two tablespoons. It should cover the waffle iron, but not be too overcrowded. Overcrowding/overfilling will result in batter spilling out the sides. You should only need to cook your waffles for 2-3 minutes (keep an eye on them, as they cook really quickly and brown very easily).
