It has a yummy, sweet sauce that’s thick and creamy, without being too heavy or overpowering. This recipe is super saucy, leaving enough to drizzle over your added veggies (we have it with broccoli and rice).

Let’s face it, kids love sweet things. This honey mustard chicken is no exception! Naturally sweetened with honey, this creamy dish is sure to be a winner at your house. Drizzle your veggies and rice with extra sauce for a super indulgent meal.

  1. Step one: Cook chicken
    Heat a deep pan with a lid on medium-high heat. Add some oil and fry chicken until brown, about 2-3 minutes each side. Remove from pan.
  2. Step two: Make sauce
    In the same pan, add chicken stock and bring to a simmer. Add honey and mustard and whisk. In a small bowl, dissolve corn starch in 2 tablespoons of water (stir well). Whisk in corn starch mixture, and whisk in cream.
  3. Step three: Return chicken to pan
    Return your chicken to the pan (with sauce) and cover. Cook, covered, for 5 minutes.
  4. Step four: Reduce sauce
    Take your lid off and reduce your sauce for about 15 minutes, or until you reach your desired consistency. Remove from heat.
  5. Step five: Slice chicken
    Remove chicken. Slice chicken on a chopping board and return to sauce. Stir, covering the chicken in sauce.
  6. Step six: Serve
    Serve honey mustard chicken with rice and your choice of veggies. We usually use broccoli. Add salt and pepper for adults.
